The Sin of the Church

Anyone with eyes and ears knows our society is in decay. Our political institutions, our government, both have become a cesspool of liars and perverts. Our education system is now a tool of political ambition and social transformation, teaching only what furthers the Left’s narrative. The media, what used to be the guardian of our Republic, is now a mechanism for accelerating the social and political rot, having no compunction of lying to your face.

Concerted effort to turn our country into a Marxist, Godless state

Many of our large cities are pits of corruption and lawlessness. State and local governments blatantly ignore laws. Illegal alien criminals are let loose or slapped on the wrist. Victims and their families find no justice; they leave the court houses disillusioned and embittered.

Our government says it is now legal to kill your children before they are born and in some states after. All for the bogus claim of the mother’s health. Someone needs to explain to me what killing a child after it is born has to do with the mother’s health.

It has become obvious that there is a concerted effort to turn our country into a Marxist, Godless state and it has taken root.

What has the Church said? Almost Nothing! In fact, many have joined in the chorus of the new social order.

When I was young, I used to hear every now and then about ‘The Golden Rule’, the treating of someone else the way you would like to be treated. I haven’t heard that maxim or ethical code in many years.

In the late 19th century to the middle of the twentieth century, many churches underwent a liberal transformation, believing that the world would be saved through human improvement. Social and economic change and the human condition would be transformed through human endeavor…and the mechanism best suited of that change would be government, so they thought.

Church began to wake up to the societal decline

Fundamentalist Christians felt that the approach was humanistic and would not work so they characterized all political activity as such and decided not to have any part of it, restricting their activity to discipling and sharing the Gospel.

By the 1950s, the Church began to wake up to the societal decline, its zenith in the 1970s with Jerry Falwell’s Moral Majority. In 1954, Senator Lyndon Johnson, no friend of the Church, pushed through legislation allowing churches to be added to the 501c3 tax code. Johnson sold this as a ‘favor’ to the Church, but in reality it was a way for government to silence the Church, which always had influence in public policy.

The favor had strings attached, grave strings. To maintain a 501c3 tax-exempt status, the Church was prohibited from addressing, in any significant way, the vital issues of the day. They could not speak out against or organize in opposition that which the government declares legal even if it is considered by the Church to be immoral. If they did so, they would jeopardize their tax exempt status. The government put out the bait, the Church bit hard.

This, of course, had a chilling effect on the pulpit and free speech. Johnson was a shrewd and calculating politician and would come to appreciate how effective his legislation became and how easily so many churches would sell-out. This was as much a commentary on the Church as it was on Lyndon Johnson. Their priorities became apparent.

The true shocker in this depressing story is that the Church did not need the 501c3. Churches were already tax exempt. They were never taxable nor were they ever under the taxing authority of the government. The First Amendment clearly placed the Church outside government jurisdiction…“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Religion cannot be free if you have to pay the government through taxation for it.

Church did not need the 501c3

By the IRS’ own publications, churches are automatically tax exempt. Contributions can still be taken as a tax deduction without 501c3 status.

So, what is the result? … Abortion, homosexual marriage, government sex education, gender confusion, Socialism, etc. The Church showed itself to be more interested in its fiscal health than the spiritual health of its congregations.

In the words of a former IRS Sr. Officer, Steve Nestor:

“I am not the only IRS employee who’s wondered why churches go to the government and seek permission to be exempted from a tax they didn’t owe to begin with, and to seek a tax deductible status that they’ve always had anyway. Many of us have marveled at how church leaders want to be regulated and controlled by an agency of government that most Americans have prayed would just get out of their lives. Churches are in an amazingly unique position, but they don’t seem to know or appreciate the implications of what it would mean to be free of government control.”

To all the churches and irresolute, pansy clergyman out there, it is time to speak out and preach against the political and social immorality that is everywhere and now in your face. You’ve slept long enough. You should have no fear of reprisal or incrimination.

Scripture commands us to be salt and light. Salt to preserve the truth and what is right. Light to expose the dark. It’s time to take a stand. Speak up and speak out.

Go, and sin no more.

Law & Order: The Road to Anarchy

Being sick at heart is a terrible thing to be when it is every day, day after day. I am sick at heart watching my country descend into a sort of hellish, and mindless agitation and turmoil. I’m asked to watch and comment on the millions of fellow Americans buying into this mindset of endless tribal wars instigated by those no better than vipers whispering into their ears that America is no longer worthy of their allegiance.

It’s a difficult thing to try to make sense out of the senseless. Thousands of Americans, including many police officers, have been murdered by criminal illegal immigrants. We have assaults, rapes, and robberies by people who shouldn’t be here in the first place. There are diseases now being spread that the medical profession hasn’t seen in generations, and yet much of the government, those with the task of protecting the citizenry, do little or nothing because their political interests come first. And they remain unrepentant.

A former president and his presidential candidate spouse have once again flanked the law and found allies to shield their activities. We have celebrities who play games with the law because they have no fear of prosecution and have money to spread around. The Smollett case proves that justice in Chicago is only for the nonexempt. Smollett was even willing to identify innocent people as his attackers until the police tracked the perpetrators he’d paid to assault him. Someone made a phone call to the Chicago DA’s office and the slam dunk case against Jussie Smollett was not only dropped, but expunged, sanitized and the records sealed. How can any victim or an entire population now demand or expect justice? Lady Justice has de factoremoved her blindfold.

The political establishment has spent millions of taxpayer dollars, willingly destroyed many innocent lives, all to overthrow a president because he wasn’t supposed to win an election. Their partner in crime, a corrupt news media, reported and still reports falsehoods 24 hours a day, seven days a week, not for weeks but years calling the president every foul name they can come up with. 

Our intelligence community, the Department of Justice, and our hallowed FBI aided that establishment and media, playing a major role in a knowingly false narrative in an attempted coup d’état, based only on political preference. What other dark figures remain in the background waiting to be exposed?

President Trump almost stands alone, pursuing his Constitutional duty to enforce laws that our Legislative Branch has passed, and yet is refused the tools he needs to enforce those laws. 

An entire political party has turned its back on our judicial system, our election process mired in fraud, and our institutions, only for their mercenary political ends. The confidence in our institutions and its leaders that is supposed to hold our society together is now hanging by the sword of Damocles.

A government, any government, is a relationship between it and its people. Its duty is to maintain order and provide confidence. It has purposely failed! We are now divided into two major camps.

Sadly, it is coming to a point where no judge anywhere would fail to grant a divorce of that relationship based upon irreconcilable differences. The saddest part of all this is that we have a large segment of the country that thinks they can make something good out of their manufactured chaos.

If the people of this country can come to grips with what and continues to transpire and demand justice be dispensed equally in accordance with the law, we may be able to salvage what is left of a great nation and its system of government. 

We are waiting while anarchy ponders its entrance.

   We don’t need to tell you, the veteran, that our second amendment to the Constitution is under vicious attack.  To make matters worse, the feckless GOP has done little to nothing to stave off this unconstitutional barrage of democrat = communist withering fire.  The Republicans had the House, the Senate and the Oval Office and squandered that gift from the American People.  Now we are seeing an unprecedented number of bills pushed by Pelosi’s House to erode our right to defend ourselves and our Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic.

    It’s what they do.  They grouse about the wording, the definition of militia, etc…A few examples of this erosion are:  HR820, 821 and 822.  We urge you to do two things: 1) look up and read the language, and, 2) contact your representatives and, in a civil manner, present your argument against this encroachment, this infringement on our right to keep and bear arms.

   On a brighter note, Representative Richard Hudson, NC 8th District, sponsored a refreshed bill on National Reciprocity. Though general consensus gives little chance of its passing, the bill is a step back toward sanity.

We must note here:  why would the Founding Fathers believe it necessary to include specific language to protect the government’s military-state and federal-firearm’s rights (as the left contends)?  It makes no sense whatsoever. Constitution signer John Dickinson wrote that inalienable rights such as self-defense were rights “which God gave to you and which no inferior power has a right to take away.”  James Wilson called it “a new security” for the right of self-defense that God had already bestowed on every individual. And finally this last entry, for the sake of time, for there are many more, “[T]he advantage of being armed [is an advantage which] the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation. . . [I]n the several kingdoms of Europe . . . the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms”. James Madison, U.S. President, Signer of the Constitution, a Framer of the Second Amendment in the first congress. The first ten amendments, the Bill of Rights, are fundamentally rights recognized as inherently God given and are not granted by any government, but are to be protected by the government. 

    There are two ways in which the Constitution is interpreted, one made famous during the 2000 presidential debates.  Al Gore (and others like him including Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.), believe that the Constitution is a living, breathing document that, “must be considered in the light of our whole experience and not merely in that of what was said a hundred years ago.”  Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes:   “We are under a constitution, but the constitution is what the judges say it is”.  In other words it must evolve to suit our needs today. 

     The other way is to interpret by original intent. To keep and obey the Constitution with the meaning conveyed at the time of its writing.  Activists, especially activist judges, twist and torture the Grand Law to mean whatever suits progressive wants.  

   The ninth and tenth amendments, though not nearly as well known, leave no doubt as to whom the Bill of Rights is addressed-let’s shake the dust off and take a look:   

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people

   Take the time right now to read and explain these ten essential rights to your children and grandchildren so they will have the foundational knowledge needed to counteract the propaganda foisted upon them by most public schools.

Hello all you Vets in the Fight, this is David Miller, with your weekly Special Operations Speaks, Vets in the Fight SITREP.

   The dictionary definition of Intersectionality is “the complex, cumulative way in which the effects of multiple forms of discrimination (such as racism, sexism, and classism) combine, overlap, or intersect, especially in the experiences of marginalized individuals or groups

   [Kimberlé] Crenshaw introduced the theory of intersectionality, in the late 1980s, the idea that when it comes to thinking about how inequalities persist, categories like gender (another leftist non-biological term), race, and class are best understood as overlapping and mutually supportive rather than isolated and distinct. We have a shorter, somewhat more succinct definition:  a driverless cultural passenger train barreling headlong into an F-5 tornado.  

   The path leading to today’s notion of intersectionality is rather long and tortuous. Many years back we began to hear the word diversity bandied about. Innocuous enough sounding; who doesn’t appreciate a diversity of resources or the diverse grandeur of our beautiful country? This new diversity was but an omen of things to come.  Since the late 1930s communists and those they have influenced have worked tirelessly to realign our vocabulary to suit their progressive agenda. Victor Davis Hanson explains, “Democrats used to be “liberals.” The context being free, as in free thinkers not burdened by oppressive traditions.   Gradually, the term progressive eclipsed liberal, (in part because conservatives often referred to themselves as “Classic Liberals”. And so was too close for comfort.)   Progressive infers an activist, not a neutral, ideology—one that is always moving the country in the supposedly correct direction”.  Progressive, then means progress.  Haven’t we all been taught that progress is good?  If we are conservative then, the unsaid conclusion is, that conservatives hate progress.  But Democrats look at progress from a purely cultural standpoint.  A quick look at their etymological evolution is proof that they couldn’t care less about American’s standard of living. For example:

Global cooling begat global warming which begat our current climate change.  This is suspect science at best.  Illegal aliens became illegal immigrants which in turn morphed into undocumented immigrants followed rapidly by the purposely ambiguous migrant.  We suspect that soon any who attempt to enter or enter our country illegally will be labeled as “asylum seekers” regardless of their actual intentions.  The sanctuary state of California and the multiple sanctuary cities have already acquiesced to this command in full-faced defiance of the law of the land and America’s security.  Again, Victor Davis Hanson puts it succinctly, “The reinvention of vocabulary can often be more effective than any social protest movement”.  Through the decades vocabulary has been very effectively used on the forward edge of progressive battle lines.  Diversity in the 1970s gave birth to multiculturalism, thus accelerating the watering down of traditional American values.  The very core of what made this nation what it is today; exceptional.  Multiculturalism brings with it a sense not of assimilation but of identity politics.  That is, that each individual group, based on the fluid notion of gender, ethnicity, race or sexual orientation has the inherent right to demand from those not subscribing to this progressive dogma specialized treatment and privilege not found anywhere in our Constitutional foundations.

   Not to rest long on their laurels, progressives sought to take advantage of their social and political leverage by evolving yet again into intersectionality. Seeing an opportunity to propel their cause to ever greater heights, intersectionality seeks to coalesce disparate groups with widely ranging goals to attack America from all sides and bring about the eventual destitution of socialism and its inevitable pogroms.  

The cover story was that the aforementioned oppressed and marginalized groups would, in a victorious and pious voice, once and for all be heard above the din of their tormentors. Any and all could come and join their righteous cause;  and so they have.  The real shame is that so many buy into their fiction.  The actual objective is to oppress and marginalize those of us who believe in our Republic and stand with her.   The wonder of this is how this movement, this incoherent band of strange bedfellows don’t tear each other apart.  Though we do see some discordance within the ranks, the havoc they wreak far outweighs the nominal cost.  Stay with us for part two next week.
