SITREP 23 Feb 2019 – It’s Just Socialism

“ Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”  — Winston Churchill

Hello all you Vets in the Fight®, this is David Miller, with your weekly Special Operations Speaks, Vets in the Fight®SITREP.

This was at one time pretty well intuitive to most Americans who lived daily with the very real threats from the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact who’d graduated to a master’s level of socialism called Communism.  Socialism is a term being bandied about among our political elites and the press with impunity, so as to desensitize and increasingly ignorant electorate as to its fatal philos0phy.  Talking cable TV heads try to sugar coat it all by calling it ‘Democratic Socialism’, an oxymoron if there ever was one.  Our public schools and the cultural Marxists in the press, in Hollywood and in Government have put lots of lipstick on that treacherous pig.

Socialism acts as the training wheels for Communism. Socialism lives by all the tenets of that ultimately permit it to graduate to Communism.  The only difference between a socialist and a communist is the one holding the gun. Lethal, arbitrary and centralized power are the communist credentials pursued by every socialist government.

Yet the legacy Democrat Party has come to embrace Socialism as its foundation and platform for 2019. Parenthetically:  one of their key planks in that platform is confiscation of your fire arms.  This is a key step to totalitarian take-over, and the Left’s graduation to full throated Communism.

None of this comes as a surprise to us, who watched the Democratic Party in 1974 betray both the people of Vietnam and the American military who’d fought, 58,000 plus of them dying, to defeat the very communists that Democrats today strive to become.  Jane Fonda, former Secretary of State John Kerry, are among the most prominent and still-remorseless big-name traitors from that era.  (By the way, Ft. Bragg and vicinity still does a brisk business in John Kerry urinal targets.)

If today’s public schools, shaped by the Marxists of the 70s, were loyal to their students first, young people would know that the track record of socialistic communism was one of massive deaths.

From 1919 – 1987, Lenin, Stalin, and a bevy of Russian dictators, accounted for 85-100 million deaths by summary execution, by deliberate starvation of entire peoples, and by imprisonment in the Soviet Gulag.

Your high school kids need to read Gulag Archipelago by Alexander Solzhenitsyn.  A Russian émigré, he outlines the horrors of the Soviet prison system in Siberia.  Maybe it will help defeat the snowflake readings they are used to in school.

Mao took the long-approach. He killed, tortured and starved his

way through over 100 million of his peasants, enemies of the state, and intellectuals.  (See Mao’s Great Leap Forward.)  He looked at it this way: “ When there is not enough to eat, people starve to death. It is better to let half of the people die so that the other half can eat their fill “.  If you see a linkage between Mao’s approach and the U.S. Green Movement, it is not at all coincidental.

Cambodia, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Laos, Castro’s Cuba, mentor of the Venezuelan socialist dictatorship that is dissolving before our eyes, all have sustained the same outcomes of atheistic socialism-communism.

So why are so many of our children and young adults so enamored of socialism?  Because our culture has very deliberately hidden the truth that all Socialists have a reverse Midas touch.  Everything that socialists and communists touch they destroy. Count on the Democrat Socialists Ocasio-Cortez, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders’s, Elizabeth Warren and their fellow travelers who flock to the Presidential Elections in 2020 to share the same outcomes framed by Churchill’s observation of Socialism as a, “ …philosophyof failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue … the equal sharing of misery.

Next time:  The intersection of Leftism and Islamism.
